About

Jack’s Tool Rental, Inc. the forerunner of Runyon Equipment Rental, Inc. opened it’s doors in 1955 in the backyard garage of Jack and Mildred Runyon. Due to the vast equipment expertise, scope of the inventory, and outstanding customer service of its founders and their son Gary who came aboard in 1964, Jacks Tool Rental continued to grow and prosper. In 1978 the reigns of the company were turned over to Gary who continued to expand the product offerings and number of locations until 1999 when he sold the business to a large national corporation.

Itching to get back in the game, in 2004 Gary with his son Jack, (the namesake of his grandfather and third generation member of the team) opened Runyon Equipment Rental Inc. at 410 West Carmel Drive , Carmel , Indiana . The new state-of-the-art facility boasts 125,000 square feet of indoor space and a yard that holds another 85,000 square feet of rental equipment. The company has quickly reestablished its reputation as the place to go for rental equipment and tools for Contractors/Remodelers, Landscapers, Commercial Floor Specialists, Homeowners and Specialty Event Planners.

The same high degree of advice, assistance, and expert instruction that customers came to know and value at Jack’s Tool Rental is there as well as new specialties including floor grinding, concrete polishing, shot blasting and walk behind and ride on scrubbers.

Recently, Runyon has expanded their surface preparation rental & supply company, to service nationally, Canada and all over the world!

  1. Aw, this was a very nice post. Finding the time and actual effort to create a very good article but what can I say I put things off a whole lot and don’t seem to get nearly anything done.
